Bobby Joe Stewart

Bobby Joe Stewart, 71, Henderson Kentucky, formerly of Lake Station, Indiana, and Winchester, Tennessee, died at 11:34 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2009, at Newburgh Health Care in Newburgh, Indiana. He was a member of Countryview Baptist Church. He was a retired electrician with U.S. Steel in Gary, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin W. Stewart and Anna Mae McBee Sanders. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary Ann Waddell Stewart; two daughters, Gail Davenport of Henderson and Debra Ann Albright of Valparaiso, Indiana; one son, Joe Stewart of Henderson; six sisters, Katherine Campbell, Corrine Sanders, Annie Pearl Owens, and Betty Lee Partin, all of Winchester, Tennessee, and Nancy Ellis and Jean Ray, both of Cowan, Tennessee; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Countryview Baptist Church. The Reverend Bill Owens will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, KY. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Countryview Baptist Church 2067 Gregory Dr. in Henderson, and after 8:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Henderson County Diabetes Coalition. Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel is handling arrangements.
