Bonnie Jean Pfingston

Bonnie Jean (Babbs) Pfingston, 84 of Corydon passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Lucy Smith King Care Center. She was born July 20, 1931 in Union Co., KY to Houston and Lucille (Pickens) Babbs. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Corydon for 58 years and was a Medical Assistant for Drs. Walter O’Nan, John Rashidian, William O’Nan, Norbert Greenwell and Shah Naderi. Bonnie was a longtime volunteer for St. Anthony’s Hospice. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul Roger “Skeeter” Pfingston, brother David Babbs and grandson John Casey Pfingston. She is survived by 3 children: Darrel Pfingston and his wife Melinda of Henderson Douglas Pfingston and his wife Joann of Henderson Dwayne Pfingston and his wife Chanda of Little Dixie 2 sisters: Daisy Hina of Sturgis Brenda Robinson of Morganfield 2 brothers: Don Babbs Bill Babbs both of Sturgis 5 grandchildren: Katie Pfingston of Henderson John Pfingston of Louisville Carson Pfingston of Raleigh, NC Madison Pfingston of Cincinnati, OH Sarah Pfingston of Cincinnati, OH 2 great grandchildren: Gentry and Elliotte Nieces and nephews Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, September 27 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. Rick O’Daniel will officiate. Visitation will be 2:00 PM-8:00 PM Saturday, September 26, 2015 and Sunday, 1:00 PM until service time Sunday, September 27 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Perry Givens, Jimmy Mattingly, John Pfingston, Carson Pfingston, Madison Pfingston, Sarah Pfingston, Mickey Pfingston and Scott Babbs. Honorary pallbearers will be Susan Spainhoward, Georgianna Thornberry, Janet Parrish, Kim Rone and Sherrie Duckworth. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice and Corydon Missionary Church.
