Carl C Austin

Carl C. Austin, 81 of Hanson, died on March 24, 2015 at his son’s home. He was born on December 1, 1933 in Webster County to the late Clarence and Geneva Dockery Austin. He was of the Methodist faith. He served in the United States Air Force and was a retired truck driver for George Koch and Son in Evansville, Indiana. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Carl A. Austin and daughter Kim Massey. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Austin of Hanson, his sons Kenny (Beth) Austin of Slaughters, Keith Austin of Madisonville, sisters Ruth Frances of Hanson, Shirley (Billi) Vaughn of Newburgh, Indiana, Kathryn Ashby of Evansville, Indiana, Amber Brackett of Muhlenberg County, Peggy Phillips of Madisonville, his brother Billy (Kim) Austin of Hanson, grandchildren Michael Austin, Jared (Cierra) Austin, Scotty Massey, Erin Massey, and Ali Austin, and four great grandchildren. Services will be on Friday, March 27th at 1:00 p.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel with Pastor William Moore officiating. Burial will be at Clearview Cemetery in Hanson. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 26th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour.
