Carl Wayne Austin, 47 of Slaughters, KY passed away at 4:12 PM Saturday February 27, 2010 at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. He was born in Madisonville, KY on December 31, 1962 to Carl C. and Sherry Gayle (Myrick) Austin. He has been an employee of Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Madisonville and had operated Austin Construction in the Slaughters area. He attended Lone Star Pentecostal Church in Madisonville, KY He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents; Clarence and Geneva Austin and Matrnal step grandfather; Guy Nix. He is survived by his wife of 29 years; Sherry (Love) Austin of Slaughters, KY Son; Jared Austin and his fiancé Cierra Bearden of Slaughters, KY Parents; Carl C. and Sherry (Myrick) Austin of Vandetta, KY Grandmother; Mary Nix of Madisonville, KY Mother and Father-in-law; James E. and Marie Love of Slaughters, KY 1 sister; Kim Austin Massey of Vandetta, KY 2 brothers; Keith Austin of Madisonville, KY Kenny Austin of Slaughters, KY Several Nieces and Nephews. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday March 3, 2010 at the Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Pastor Roy Duke will officiate. Burial will be in Clearview Cemetery in Vandetta, KY. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 and Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Michael Austin, Christopher Scott Massey, Kevin Parkest, Daniel Richard, Craig Blandford, Jacob Rogers and Richard Young. Honorary pallbearer will be Jared Austin.
