Carl Gene Wix Carl Gene Wix age age70 of Mortons Gap, KY passed away at 2:17 a.m. Thursday 3-31-11 at his home. He was born December 19, 1940 in West Mooreland, TN to Loyd Lee and Ruby Dixie Roalin Wix. He was a coal miner and last worked at P&M Coal Mine in Sebree, KY. He was a member of the Star of Bethlehem Church in Ilsley, KY and was a member of the Army National Guard. In addition to his parents he; was preceded in death by a brother David Franklin Wix. He is survived by his wife Janice Earl Wix of Mortons Gap, KY, two sons David Alan Wix and his wife Gigi of Ormond Beach, FL, Danny Wix and his wife Sarah of Ilsley, KY, one daughter Belinda Jean Wix of Mortons Gap, KY, three brothers Charles Wix and his wife Gloria of Mayfield, KY, Johnny Wix and his wife Libby of Earlington, KY, Tommy Wix and his wife Karen of Richland, KY, two sisters Eve Owens and her husband Louie of Mortons Gap, KY, Ruby Kiscaden and her husband James Earl of Earlington, KY, two grandchildren Brandon Wix and his wife Marie of Earlington, KY, Tiffany Wix of Ormond Beach and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Bro. Monty Fuller and Bro. Phil Sullivan officiating. His burial will be in New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville, KY. His visitation will be from 4:00- 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Reid-Walters Funeral Home and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.
