Carmon Ozel Waide

Carmon “Ozel”Waide went to be with his Lord Sunday May 11, 2014 at 10:30 AM. He was born April 26, 1932 in Caldwell County, Kentucky to the late Albie Wheeler and Reba (East) Waide. Ozel attended Chapel Hill Methodist Church, was a member of the Glazier Union and worked in the paint and glass business locally for many years. He was a former member of the Elks Club and an avid hunter. He loved gardening, and traveling to the Smoky Mountains. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter Lea Anette “Le Ann” Waide in 1975 and 1 brother Glendol Waide. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Shirley (Killman) Waide of Henderson, KY 4 children; Linda and husband Dennis Goodman of Grand Island, FL Kim Trimborn of Henderson, KY Tami and husband Timmy Griffin of Niagara, KY Lori and husband Greg Lindsey of Henderson, KY 9 grandchildren: Angela and husband Rob Wilkerson, Barrett and wife Jenny Goodman, Tessa and husband Corey Clement, Tara and husband Jacob Pollack, Tyler and wife Lindsey Griffin, Tritney and husband Kevin Hallmark, Zack Trimborn, Seth and wife Hayley Lindsey, and Jayden Lindsey, and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday May 14, 2014 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson with Dr. Phillip Basinger officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Tuesday May 13 and 9:00-11:00 AM Wednesday May 14 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Barrett Goodman, Tyler Griffin, Zack Trimborn, Seth Lindsey, Richard Melton, Terry Stone, and Mike Biggs. Memorial contributions may be made to Henderson Humane Society, St. Anthony’s Hospice or Redbanks Nursing Home Harbor Unit.
