Carol Lee Ransom

Carol Lee Ransom, 76, of Henderson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Heart-to-Heart Hospice in Evansville, Indiana.

Born in Henderson, Kentucky, Carol was the daughter of the late Jimmie Lee and Wanda Elaine (Overby) Johnson. She attended First Assembly of God and found great comfort in her faith, enjoying spending time reading her Bible.

Carol's greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every opportunity to visit with her loved ones and especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Her kind heart, unwavering love for her family, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her niece, Faith Smith.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Melissa Taylor and Tiffany Sheets; her sisters, Judy Overfield (Danny), Dianne Gish (Tony), and Pam Smith (Larry); her brothers, Jimmy Johnson (Karen) and Jerry Johnson (Mia); her grandchildren, Hailee Taylor, Caitlyn Sheets, Abigail Sheets, and Mason Sheets; her great-grandson, Jacob Keene; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Brother Albert Winters and Pastor Kevin Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Heart-to-Heart Hospice in Evansville for the exceptional care, kindness, and support they provided to Carol during her final days.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heart-to-Heart Hospice in honor of Carol's memory.
