Carolyn Sue Goldsberry

Carolyn Sue Goldsberry, 79, of Henderson, joined her Savior and beloved husband, Larry on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

She was born in Hopkins County on July 24, 1943 to the late Rev. James and Helen (Taylor) Williams.

She was a member of Country View General Baptist Church and was well known for her piano playing, as it was her God-given talent. She played for her church, as well as for the Gospel Travelers for 20 years and The Goldsberry Family for 10 years. She was a minister’s daughter and minister’s wife and spent her whole life serving God and helping others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Goldsberry; daughter, Sonya Shockley; grandson, Darrell W. Todd III; and sister, Madelyn Maddox.

Survivors include her children, Kim Duncan (Randy), Lori Strunk (Howie), and Karen Todd (Darrell); 11 beloved grandchildren, Larry Strunk, Cristy Duncan, Samantha Woodard, Beth Hazelwood, Tabitha Furlong, Faith Woodson, Cody Duncan, Trey Strunk, Cecil Todd, Josh Todd, and Alyssa Shockley; 14 beloved great grandchildren; and siblings, Betty Graham, Janet Peercy, Linda Matthews, Patsy Patmore, John Williams, Roy Williams, and Gigi Gentry.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 8 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Bro. Randy Duncan, Bro. Randy Durham, Larry Strunk, and Cody Duncan.

Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, April 7 from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday, April 8 from 9 a.m. until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Woodard, Ben Furlong, Cecil Todd, Josh Todd, Trey Strunk, Larry Strunk, Cody Duncan, and Kody Woodson.
