Carolyn Ann Shirkey, 61 of Henderson passed away 10:57 AM Thursday February 16, 2012 at her residence. She was born March 27, 1950 in Hopkinsville, KY to Bill and Martha (Averitt) Rager. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband Wesley E. Shirkey of 22 years Daughter: Leslie (Mulvey) Rush of Helena, AL Step Sons: Wesley E. Shirkey, Jr. of Newburgh, IN Michael Shirkey of Henderson, KY Mother: Martha Rager of Elkton, KY 3 Grandchildren: Jax Michael Rush of Helena, AL Hayes Cardine Rush of Helena, AL Case Nicholes Rush of Helena, AL 2 sisters: Dixie Brooks of Newburgh, IN Regina McMurray of Lufkin, TX 1 brother: Harold Logan Rager of Clarksville, TN 1 Uncle: David Rager of Evansville, IN Services will be 10:00 AM Monday February 20 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Jeff Coursey will officiate. Visitation will be 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM Sunday February 19 and 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Monday February 20 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Elkton, KY at 1:00 PM Monday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
