Catherine "Cathy" Margaret (Hancock) Abbott

Catherine Margaret (Hancock) Abbott, 66, of Robards, passed away on Thursday, May 30 at Kentucky One Health Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Uniontown, KY on Friday, April 17, 1953 to the late William F. and Pauline (Holland) Hancock. She worked as a factory press operator and was a member of Geneva Baptist Church in Henderson. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, cooking, quilting and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Charles Ronald Abbott; and siblings, Eugene Hoskins, Claude Hoskins, Mary Lou Beck, Martha Martin, Tommy Hancock, Debbie Woodard and Francis Hancock. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bev Abbott; sons, William “Billy” Donald Abbott and David Wayne Abbott (Carla), all of Henderson; daughter, Evana Jean Oates (Justin) of Dixon; brothers, Larry Hancock (Margie) of Greenville, KY and John David Hancock (Karole) of Birch Tree, MO; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Sunday, June 2 at 12 p.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel with Rev. Larry Hancock officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 1 from 5-8 p.m. and on Sunday, June 2 from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour. Pallbearers will be Charlie Abbott, Codie Abbott, Sarah Halpin, Caitlyn Burke, Randy Abbott, Seth Abbott, Gabriella Abbott and Kaleb Abbott. Honorary pallbearer will be Austyn Abbott.
