Catherine Lucille Gaines

Catherine Lucille Gaines, 83, of Henderson passed away Saturday May 26, 2012 at 4:10 PM at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home. She was born in Henderson to Wilson Summers and Ruby Jewell (Fambrough) Gaines on December 10, 1927. She was a school crossing guard for 27 years. She attended Assembly of God and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jesse E Gaines, son Ronald “Roscoe”Gaines, 2 daughters Patricia Ann Walker and Cathy “Lou” Dooley and grandson J.R. Gaines. Survivors include: 3 Sons Donald Ray “Pee Wee” Gaines and wife Patty of Henderson Michael Wayne Gaines of Henderson Richard Allen “Dick” Gaines and wife Charlene of Henderson 1 Brother: Jerry Summers and wife Judy of Henderson 12 Grandchildren 13 Great-grandchildren 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday May 30, 2012 at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson. Bro. Mark Jones will officiate. There will be no visitation. Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel is handling arrangements.
