Catholine Townsend

Catholine Townsend, 79, of Sebree, passed away Thursday January 10, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on August 1, 1939 to the late Hickman Madison and Clausie Bernie (Mabery) Wheeler.Catholine was a retired administrator for the Webster County School System. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Directors of food service of Kentucky, Kentucky Education Association and Webster County food bank.  She enjoyed organizing banquets and cooking for everyone but her biggest passion was working with kids. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband R.M. Townsend. Survivors include 2 children Karen Odom of Guthrie, KY, John Odom and wife Anita of Bowling Green, KY, longtime companion and caregiver Jim Nance of Sebree, 1 sister Barbara Duncan and husband Eddie, 1 brother Junior Wheeler and wife Jo all of Cookeville, TN, 4 grandchildren John Roger McGee, Drake Midgett, Garrett Wayne Tucker, Chandler Odom, 2 great-grandchildren Trevor McGee, Riley McGee, nieces and nephews. Services will be 1:00 PM, Monday January 14, 2019 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel.  Dr. Bob Hardison will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2-6PM and Monday 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be John Roger McGee, Drake Midgett, Garrett Tucker, Patrick Barnett, Keith Scott and Eddie Duncan. Jerry Hinton will be an honorary pallbearer.
