Charlene Frederick

Charlene Dee Peckenpaugh Frederick, 75, of Corydon, Kentucky, passed away on July 6, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital at 10:34 a.m., with her daughter, Beth, by her side.

Charlene was born on April 24, 1951, in Henderson, Kentucky, to the late Clyde Thomas Peckenpaugh Sr. and Charlotte Priest Peckenpaugh.

A woman of Catholic faith, Charlene attended Holy Name Church. She worked as a school bus driver for the Henderson County School System but was primarily devoted to her role as a homemaker, caring for her family with love and dedication.

Charlene enjoyed researching her family's ancestry and had a special love for all things associated with the Christmas season.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Frederick Sr.; and two brothers, Clyde Thomas Peckenpaugh Jr. and David Peckenpaugh.

She is survived by her daughter, Beth French and her husband, Brad; her son, John A. Stewart; along with many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In accordance with her wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
