Charles Edward Carmon

Charles Edward Carmon, 90 of Corydon, KY passed away at 12:01 AM Sunday November 22, 2015 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. He was born in Smith Mills, KY on October 28, 1925 to the late Owen and Beulah (Craddock) Carmon. He was a member of Corydon Missionary Baptist Church. He had worked in the Oil Fields and at Gibbs Die Cast. He enjoyed working in the yard and raising a big garden. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Thomas, Owen Jr., Arthur Ray and Jerry Carmon and a sister; Martha Farley. He is survived by his wife of 66 years; Nellie (McKee) Carmon 2 daughters; Janice Carmon Kitchens and husband Joseph L. of Henderson, Lisa Carmon Southard and husband Samuel of Henderson: 4 granddaughters; Brigette Kitchens Mallory and husband Josh, Lacey Kitchens Alexander and husband Wes, Haley Southard and fiance Derek Woods All of Henderson and Melody Southard Kerr and husband Wes of Bowling Green, KY 3 Great Granddaughters; Alley Kerr, Eva Kerr both of Bowling Green, KY and Presley Royalty of Henderson Aunt; Lucille Fulkerson of Henderson Nieces and Nephews Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday November 24th at Smith Mills Cemetery. Dr. Hollis Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Mills Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthonys Hospice or Henderson Relay for Life.
