Charles L. Cummings

Charles Lee Cummings, born on November 5, 1941, in Sebree, Kentucky, passed away on January 12, 2026. He was the beloved son of the late Charles H. and Mamie (Yates) Cummings. A devoted follower of the Lord, Charles found joy in music, particularly as a dedicated guitar player. He had a strong passion for woodworking, refinishing furniture, and restoring brass items.

A respected member of Fairview Baptist Church, Charles leaves behind a legacy of love and faith. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Darlene Gibson Cummings; his son, Randy Cummings, and his siblings, Dorris Cummings and Peggy Joyce Cummings.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Margaret Hendricks (Benji); his sister, Barbara Johnson; his daughter-in-law, Samantha Cummings; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, who will remember him fondly.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Mt. Zion Cemetery, with Brother Dan Book officiating. The family of Charles Lee Cummings invites all who knew him to join in honoring his memory and celebrating his life.
