Charles Gale Hancock, 77 of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, previously from the Sebree/Onton Area, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. Gale was born August 3, 1943 to the late Wilbur and Loleta Hancock. Prior to his retirement, he worked 23 years at Alcoa. He then went into police work for 10 years as a Deputy Sheriff of Webster County and then Chief of Police of Sebree. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Sons of the American Legion Santa Claus Post 242. Gale enjoyed time with his family, playing cards and boating. Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years Cherry Hancock, 4 sons Chuck Hancock (Lesa), Rick Hancock (Debby), Stan Hancock (Lori) and Doug Hancock (Carol); 1 daughter Kristy Epperson (Sean); 1 brother Roy Lee Hancock; 2 sisters Dorita Eastwood (OJ), Rhonda Grigg (Mike); 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be private with Pastor Chris Clark officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday 4:30 – 7:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Alzheimer’s Association, 6100 Dutchmanss Ln. #401 Louisville, KY 40205. Pallbearers will be Josh Hancock, Seth Hancock, Bryce Hancock, Brandon Hancock, Ryan Hancock and Eric Wink.
