Charles Robert Majors

Charles Robert Majors, 83 of Hanson, KY passed away Saturday August 20, 2011 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville, KY. He was born in Nortonville, KY on November 25, 1927 to the late Charlie and Hilda (Phillips) Majors. He was a member and Deacon at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from Winn Oil after 6 years as a truck driver and was a former Hanson City Commissioner. He was also a KY colonel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Majors. He is survived by his wife Betty (DeMoss) Majors 2 Daughters: Linda Holzhouser of Madisonville, KY Carolyn Vaught of Diamond, KY Sister: Emogene Hollandsworth of St. Clair, MO Brother: Clyde Majors of Nebo, KY 3 Grandchildren 5 Great-Grandchildren Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday August 24, 2011 at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Bro. Gary Taylor and Bro. Scott Casebier will officiate. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00 until 8:00 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel and Wednesday from 1:00 until service time at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Olive Branch Church Building Fund.
