Charles Louis "Charlie" Matthews

Charles Louis “Charlie” Matthews, 76, of Henderson passed away Wednesday August 31, 2022 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. Charlie was born in Centertown, Kentucky on January 5, 1946 to the late Alvie and Effie (Bozarth) Matthews. He was an owner of Matthews Drywall for over 40 years and a member of Countryview General Baptist Church. Charlie was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. Survivors include his wife of 53 years. Linda (Williams) Matthews; three sons Robert Matthews (Susan), Jeremy Matthews, Jonathan Matthews (Crystal); one brother Randell Matthews (Donnia); six grandchildren Melissa (Shane), Ricky, Ashlyn, Jaxson, Brody, Ryan; two great-grandchildren Kampbell, Isabelle; his weiner dog Duchess; many nieces and nephews. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday September 3, 2022 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Bro. Gary Ashby, Bro. Randy Duncan, Bro. Billy Hatfield and Bro. Johnny Smith officiating. Visitation will be Friday 4-8PM and Saturday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Greg Hope, Jack Graham, Randell Matthews, Randy Gentry, Jason Kirtley and James David Matthews.
