Charles August Reddick

Charles August Reddick, 88 of Washington, IN passed away Tuesday July 28, 2009 at Heritage Holiday Center in Evansville, IN. He was born August 17, 1920 in Davies Co., IN to Clyde and Mary Ellen (Spurgeon) Reddick. He retired from Allison a Division of General Motors as a machinist in 1973 and moved to Montgomery, IN to care for his wife Christine whom he married in 1955. He enjoyed fishing and bowling but wasn’t able for the past couple of years. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clyde and Mary Ellen (Spurgeon) Reddick Wife: Christine Reddick (1989) Son-in-law: Ronnie Chumbley (2002) 1 brother 8 sisters He is survived by loving and caring step-daughter who had cared for him the last 2 ½ years, Sue Chumbley of Evansville, IN. 1 Step- Granddaughter, Kenita Ball and husband Dennis of Evansville, IN 1 step-Grandson, Larry Aubrey and wife Trish and children Ethan and Arira of Pennsylvania 1 step great great granddaughter, Lori Schauss and husband Dave and children Hannah, Abby, Elijah, Madeline of Newburg 1 Brother Joe Reddick of Indianapolis, IN 4 Sisters: Pauline Miller of Indianapolis, IN Shirley Miller of Indianapolis, IN Lou Ella Allison of Indianapolis, IN Barbara Drumn of California Very special nephew and wife Mark and Phyllis Sinclair of Indianapolis, IN. Numerous other nieces and nephew. We would like to thank Heritage Center, the nurses and all the staff who were so kind and considerate. Also special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at Deaconess Hospital. You fought a long hard battle. You are in a better place now with Mother and your loved ones.
