Charles Edward Vanover, Sr.

Charles Edward Vanover, Sr., 83, of Henderson, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.  He was born in Henderson on February 5, 1937 to the late Rudy David and Lois Elizabeth (Vaughn) Vanover.  Charles was a retired Machine Mechanic from Sonoco Products where he had worked for 27 years.  He was a member of Haven Pentecostal Church in Henderson and a US Navy Veteran.  Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Bettye Vanover; 4 children Charles Edward Vanover, Jr., Daniel Thomas Vanover, Jonathan Dale Vanover and Nathan Ray Vanover all of Henderson; 3 sisters Eldean Whitledge, Margaret Williams and Frances Rone all of Henderson; 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Pastor Phil Wagoner officiating.  Visitation will be Monday 3-7PM and Tuesday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
