Charles Archie (Charlie) Wester

Charles Archie Wester of Mortons Gap, wen t home to be with the Lord on Saturday October 2, 2010 at 9:15 in the evening; while residing at NHC in Madisonville. Charles was born May 19, 1927 to the late Arvin and Blanche Wester in Muhlenberg County. Charles was retired from Madisonville Recapping. Charles was preceded in death by David Wester, a brother; Michael Wester, a son; Jeffery Woodward a grandson and Brice Woodward, a great grandson. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Wester of Mortons Gap; five daughters, Catherine Graham of Madisonville, June (Tony) Cannon of Midway, KY, Phillis (Ricky) Drinkard of Madisonville, Janice Goodman of Madisonville, and Shirley Stephens of Madisonville; three sons, William (Rosetta) Wester, Jimmy Wester and Rodney Wester, all of Madisonville; one brother Darriel Wester of Madisonville; two sisters, Lorene Jenkins of Greenville and Beatrice Hunt of Madisonville; twenty grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 5 at Reid-Walter Funeral Home from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and Wednesday October 6 from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM. Graveside services will be held at Old Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap on Wednesday at 2:00 PM. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of NHC for all of their care, concern and support during Charles’ stay.
