Cheslee Kaylann Knight, 17 was called home to be with Jesus on Thursday July 3, 2025. Cheslee was born on June 24, 2008, in Henderson, KY to her loving mama, Heather Oxford and her father Daniel Knight. Cheslee was a cherished member of Water’s Edge Church in Henderson, Ky.
She was full of spunk, sass, infectious smiles, full of life, and a deep burning love for Jesus. Her faith was the most important thing to her. She cherished her family and friends more than life itself. Cheslee had a way of lighting up any room she walked into. To know Cheslee was to love her. She was ecstatic to start her senior year at Harrison high school. She was a determined girl with big plans; her childhood dream has always been to be in the medical field and travel. Working with children has always been her dream.
When not working, Cheslee could be found attending church with her family, hanging out with her cousins, driving, shopping, attending family events, and school functions. She had a deep love of music and knew almost every word to every song on the radio. She recently gained a love for ice hockey. She loved attending Evansville Thunderbolts games with the people she loved.
Cheslee is proceeded in death by her loving Papaw JewJew, who lovingly called her “Leroy”, her brother Evan Knight, her great grandparents Chesley and Edith “Pow” Gibson, Thomas “Pappy” and Mary “Mammy” Voyles, her great uncles Buddy and Billy Voyles, and her great aunts, Roberta Merritt, Glenda Trodglen, Brenda Voyles, and Anna Rucks.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her brothers, Pearson DeHaven, Daniel Knight, Jr., Cameron Knight, and her sister Kyra Cooper. Her beloved grandparents; Mary “Mammy” (Rick) Biggs, Douglas “Papaw” (Darlene “Mamaw”) Gibson, Don (Veda) Owens, and Daniel “PaHa” (Jane “Meemaw”) Knight. Her aunts; Mary Katherine “Aunt Kate” and Ryan Owens, Mandy “May-May” (Bink) Jones, Pam McCormick, Rachel (Shaun) Scott, Christy (Ryan) LaFramboise, Tara (Eric) McComas, and Debbie Knight (Brandy); Her Uncles; Ryan “Ry-Ry” (Amy) Mullins, Jason (Amber) Mullins, and Jeff Littrell. Her great aunt Vickie (Rick). Her great uncle David Voyles. Her cousins; Annamay, Tyson, Kolson, Sophia, Jackson, Trista, Trey, Jason, Devin, Cooper, Maggie, Conner, William, Tyler “Ty-Ty”, Kayla, Miyah, Ryder, Sage, Maddox, Bryce, Matthew, Jayce, and Adara. As well as several great cousins.
Visitation will be from 3:00 PM-8:00 PM on Monday July 7th at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson Ky, and 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday July 8th. The service will begin at 2:00 PM at the funeral home and will be officiated by her pastor, Dr. Steve Custer. Tomblinson Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
