Chester Ervin

Chester Ervin Jr, 83 years old of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away to his heavenly home on October 18, 2025, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital.

Chester was born December 26, 1941, in Henderson, Ky, to the late Chester Ervin Sr., and Fern Iona (Howard) Ervin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sondra Ervin, his brother, Robert Wayne Ervin, of Henderson, Kentucky, his father-in-law, Henry Lamb, his mother-in-law, Evelyn (Darby) Lamb of Artesia, New Mexico.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Debra (Lamb) Ervin, his children: Kimberly Bullock (Mike), Jeffrey Wayne Ervin (Lisa), Suzanne Bowling (Mark), Brandon Murch (Carol) all of Henderson, Jaime Mattingly of Texas, his sister-in-law Donna Ervin of Evansville, brother-in-law Bill Lamb (Anna Marie) of CA, sister-in-law Cynthia Davis (Eddie) of New Mexico, 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Chester worked for Delta Airlines for 28 years, in various positions. He started his career in Evansville, IN, and retired in Atlanta Ga. He loved his job, meeting people and making new friends, all over the US.

Visitation will be at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, Ky, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 4-7, and Friday, October 24, 2025, from 1-2, with the service following at 2:00.
