Chester "John" Hancock Jr., 81, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Henderson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice.
John was born November 14, 1944, in Sebree, Kentucky, to the late Chester Hancock Sr. and Bessie (Todd) Hancock.
He attended New Hope Pentecostal Church and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
John enjoyed fishing and was an avid gun enthusiast.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Hancock, James Hancock, and Tommy Hancock.
He is survived by his children, Bonnie Klie and Zack Hancock; his sister, Harriett Puckett; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Chaplain Dayne Bogard officiating. Burial will follow at Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, Kentucky. Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by American Legion Worsham Post #40 Burial Detail.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the service hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.
