Chester Lee "Chet" Meredith

Chester “Chet” Meredith, 65 of Robards, KY, Precious husband and loving father, received his invitation to his heavenly home on Thursday June 3, 2010. He is now forever walking the streets of gold and is enjoying the place he often sang about and so longed for. While on earth, he was a member of the Union Holiness Church. He loved his family, gardening, hunting, his country, and most importantly his heavenly father. He was in the Army and served four years in Vietnam. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially the ones who loved him most, his wife of 35 years, Beverly and his “babies” Beth and Rachel. Chet was born June 17, 1944 in Vanderburgh County, IN to the late Lonnie and Beatrice (Goldsberry) Meredith. He was a masonary contractor for 40 + years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 6 brothers; Tom, Donald, Truman, Ralph, Jimmy and Ronald Meredith, and 2 sisters; Shirley Meredith and Mary Osborne. He is survived by his wife Beverly (Mefford) Meredith. 2 daughters; Beth and Rachel Meredith both of Robards, KY 2 sisters; Lillian Riggle of Evansville, IN Wilma Schultey of Newburgh, IN 3 Brothers; David Meredith of Chandler, IN Richard Meredith of Newburgh, IN Larry Meredith of Henderson, KY Many Nieces and Nephews Services will be held Monday June 7, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Union Holiness Church at 1515 Roosevelt St. in Henderson, KY. Bro Mark Carter and Bro. Jake Carter will officiate. Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery in Slaughters, KY Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel in Sebree, KY. And Monday from 9:00 AM until service time at the Union Holiness Church. Pallbearers will be Larry Ranes, Bill Robertson, Dwight Deno, Greg Pirtle, Gabe Pirtle, Frank Alcantar, Ishmael Miller and Billy Miller.
