Chester Corum Tompkins

Chester Corum Tompkins, 91, of Henderson, formerly of Sebree, passed away Friday August 26, 2011, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. He was born December 17, 1919 in Webster County, Ky to Berdle David and Chloe (Brown) Tompkins. He retired from the military after serving in the Air Force. He was a member of the Sebree Mission Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters: Della Mae Wood and Zelma Lynn, 2 brothers: C.B. Tompkins and Herman Tompkins. He is survived by his caregivers and nephew Wayne and Susie Wood. And several other nieces and nephews. Services will be 2:00 PM Monday August 29, 2011 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel with Rev. Thornton Stanley and rev. Mark Compton officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Sunday August 28, 2011 and 9 AM-2 PM Monday August 29, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lucy Smith King Care Center 1305 N.
