Christie Marie Hill

Christie Marie Hill, 48, of Henderson passed away Tuesday February 27, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway surrounded by family and friends in Newburgh, IN.

She was born in Madisonville on December 3, 1975 to Stevie Hill and Susie Rideout.

Christie was the Staff Secretary for East Heights Elementary School for 16 years. Christie had an unwavering love of fishing, enjoying solace and joy in nature. Often capturing life’s moments through the lens of her camera, she had a passion for photography and could often be spotted on the sidelines of many softball games, cheering enthusiastically for her daughters.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Joe and Lucille Hill, Roy Laughary and Lila Johnston; step-dad Vernon Rideout; grandmother-in-law Martha Watson, uncle Roger Watson and great-aunt Ruth Kane.

Survivors include her husband Chris Ellis; mother Susie Rideout, father Stevie Hill; two children Kelsie Hill, Kendra Ellis; step-son Caleb Ellis; mother and father-in-law Delores and Terry Gatlin; sister Jody Rodgers (Rex); nieces Cassie and Samantha Rodgers; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday March 5, 2024 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Steve Reeder officiating.

Visitation will be Monday 4-8PM and Tuesday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Ellis, Rex Rodgers, Nick Gatlin, Greg Howard, Jason Lyons and Kris Kemp.
