Clara Jo "Miss Jo" Watson

Clara Jo “Miss Jo” Watson, 80 of Henderson passed away July 3, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Miss Jo was born in Slaughters Ky. to the late William and Virginia (Fedrick) Buchanan.

She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy with her family and doing word search puzzles. Miss Jo enjoyed rocking babies and was known as the baby whisperer.

She was a member of Henderson 1st Baptist Church, where she kept nursery and taught preschool.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years John Davis Watson and her two brothers Tommy Buchanan and Jerry Buchanan.

Miss Jo is survived by her daughters Anna Gibson (Darren) and Cathy White (Toby); her siblings Alladean Kramer, Darlena Ricketts, Burnetta Springfield, Katherine Kafara, Debbie Cadeau, Reitha Wolfe, Carol Buchanan, Charles Buchanan, Gary Buchanan, Kenny Buchanan, and Randy Buchanan; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of life will be 1:00 PM Saturday July 8, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Henderson.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM Friday July 7, 2023, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Gideons or First Baptist Church.
