CLAUD R. BRANTLEY Claud R. Brantley, 93, of Earlington, KY died at 12:05 AM Wednesday June 23, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Mattoon, KY on September 18, 1916 to John R. and Birrie Lee Land Brantley. Claud married Erma Lee Brantley March 2nd 1945. He was a coal miner and last worked for Alshire Coal Company as a heavy equipment operator, He was also a member of Earlington First Baptist Church, E. W. Turner Masonic Lodge # 548, Earlington Civic Club, and served on the Earlington City Council. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Erma K. Brantley on Jan. 18,2003, six brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife Roberta Brantley of Earlington, KY; daughter Patricia Brantley Todd and Dr. Lee Trover Todd, Jr. of Lexington, KY; two sons James Claud Brantley and Mary Hargrave Brantley of St. Charles, KY; Sidney Wayne Brantley and Cathy Durham Brantley of Paducah, KY; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday June 26, 2010 at Earlington First Baptist Church with Brother Bobby Sel1ers and Brother Hughlan Richey officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington, KY. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday June 25,2010 at Earlington First Baptist Church and 9 AM until service time on Saturday. Masonic Service will be held at 7 PM on Friday. Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY will be in charge of the arrangements.
