Claude William Foster

Claude William Foster Claude William Foster, 75 of Mortons Gap went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2012 at 1:35 PM at Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in White City to the late Claud and Mabel Uzzle Foster. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Yvonne Gunn, two daughters, Tammy Elaine Wiles, Mortons Gap and Pamela Kay Foster, Hopkinsville. They have four grand- Children, Lindsey Crawford, Daniel Scott of Mortons Gap, Joshua Corum, Owensboro, Ssgt, Caleb Bruce, Lackland AFB, San Antonio Tx. Three great grandchildren, William (Will) Jason Crawford, Morgan Lynn Scott and Zane Elijah Corum. He was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers, Ada Joyce Patterson, Mary Jewell Foster, Anna Lou Osborne, Fondon Brown, Hope Foster, Max Foster and Jack Foster. He is survived by two sisters and one brother, Kay Smith, Alberta Osborne, and Charles Foster, and several nieces and nephews. He worked at Sinclair Surface Mine, Drakesboro, Ky, for 27+ years, until the mine closed. He was a Kentucky Coronel. He was a long time member of the UMWA local LU9653. He became affiliated with Haley-Mills Realtors receiving his real estate license in 1986. He graduated from Nashville Auction School November 11, 1982. He also attended Bluegrass Auction School and was licensed as a principal Auctioneer in 1984. Will and his wife Yvonne, also an auctioneer, became known as The Will Foster Auction Service, “The selling team.” They retired June 30, 2009. He became a successful angus beef cattleman, then began cross breeding Brahama with Angus creating a large herd of Brangus Cattle of which he was very proud. He became a member of the Second Baptist Church on November 16, 1958. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Wayne Patterson, Steve Patterson, Mike Patterson, Gary Osborne, Ray Foster, and Craig Smith. Honorary pallbearer, David Ross Foster.. Funeral Service will be Friday, May 25, 11:00 AM at Second Baptist Church Mortons Gap, Brother Guy Gibbons officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 24, at Second Baptist Mortons Gap from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and from 9:00AM until service time on Friday. Burial in Old Salem Cemetery. Reid-Walters Funeral in charge of arrangements. In leiu of flowers, donations can be made to the Second Baptist Church Recreational Ministry, because of his love for children.
