Claude Wayne Wilson, 69, of Waverly, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Deaconess Union County Hospital. He was born in Waverly on September 24, 1951 to the late Claude and Virgie (Holmes) Wilson. Claude was a retired assistant foreman and special equipment operator from the Kentucky Department of Highways. He was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, William Claude Sparks and sister, Emma Lou Smith. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Wanda Wilson; daughter, Jaime Ruiz of Waverly, stepdaughter, Mistie Wynn of Illinois, and stepson, Eddie Laughary of Jenkins, KY; siblings, George Wilson, Oma Bowyer, and Jean Markham; granddaughter, Elena Ruiz; step-grandchildren, Dustin, Tyler, Shawn, Logan, and Ryan. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Dwight Deno officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 16 from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 17 from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour, both at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Dwight Deno, Shawn Deno, David Deno, Troy Deno, Sammy Rigdon, Chad Bowyer, and Jaime Ruiz.
