Clifton "Cliff " Vernon Owens

Clifton Vernon Owens, 78 of Henderson, KY passed away Sunday August 31, 2014 at Deaconess Gateway. He was born in Dixon, KY September 20, 1935 to Elden and Eula (Winstead) Owens. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Cliff was a delivery driver for T. P. Flower Shop. He was a former employee of the Gleaner and O’Daniels Flower Shop. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife Ann Ried Owens and half- brother Harold Duncan. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Jean Owens of Henderson 3 children: Mark Owens and wife Jennifer of Owensboro Rebecca Harris and husband Rick of Lancaster, OH Maggie Rose and husband Barry of Harrison, TN 2 step-daughters: Donna Hatfield and companion Waverlie Crafton of Henderson Terri Mays and husband David of Henderson 7 grandchildren: Haley Owens, Ellie Owens, Emily Harris, Colin Harris, Brendan Harris, Payton Harris, Natalie Royster and husband Collin. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. John Guthrie will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Wednesday and Thursday and 9:00 AM until service time the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice or American Cancer Society.
