Clyde S Majors

Clyde "Spiderman" Majors, 79 of Nebo, KY passed away on January 4, 2017 in his home. He was born in Webster County on June 5, 1937 to the late Charlie Majors and Hilda Phillips Majors. He was retired from coal mining after many years where he earned the nickname "Spiderman". He was a member of Stoney Point Primitive Baptist Church and was an avid UK basketball fan. He was formerly active in mini rod tractor pulling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Jo Evelyn Majors, his infant daughter, Cindy Majors, two brothers, Charles Majors and Carl Majors, and 2 infant grandchildren. He is survived by his children: Debbie (Danny) Utterback of Hanson, KY Ricky (Jann) Thurby of Mortons Gap, KY Mark Thurby of Nebo, KY Mary Lou (John) Ruddell of Nebo, KY Sister: Emma Jean Hollingsworth of St. Clair, MO 10 grandchildren, 10 great-granchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be at 2:00 on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Sebree, KY. Brother Donnie Coursey will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 10 am-2pm at the funeral home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society and Baptist Health Hospice.
