Connie Lee (Rone) Thomas

Connie Lee (Rone) Thomas, 75, of Henderson, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville.

She was born in Sacramento, Ky. on April 22, 1947 to the late Rufus (R.K.) and Frances (Forbes) Rone.

Connie was a hairdresser and member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. She was an avid UK basketball fan, a talented seamstress, and enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Givens and Dennis Thomas and grandson, Lofton Hazelwood.

She is survived by her children, Tracey Hazelwood (Kirk) and Troy Thomas, all of Henderson; four grandchildren, Logan Hazelwood, Sydney Hazelwood, Preston Hazelwood, and Reece Thomas; brothers, Stanford Rone, Randall Rone, Larry Rone, Terry Rone, Tony Rone, and bonus brother, Gary Gibson.

Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 11 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Larry McBride officiating.

Burial will follow at Corydon Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on Friday, March 10 from 4-7 p.m. and on Saturday, March 11 from 9-11 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Stanford Rone, Randall Rone, Larry Rone, Terry Rone, Tony Rone, and Gary Gibson.

Tomblinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Lofton Hazelwood Endowment Fund in care of Field and Main Bank.
