Daniel John Nelson

Daniel John Nelson, 59, of Henderson passed away Thursday August 21, 2014 at 7:17 PM at St. Anthony’s Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center. He was born in Salem, Massachusetts on May 30, 1955 to Ralph and M. Louise (Cormier) Nelson. He was a manager for IGA and a co-pastor at Memorial Tabernacle in Owensboro. Dan was a member of Pine Creek Golf club. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 39 years Dana (Stanley) Nelson 2 Children: Lauren Marie Cyster and husband Steve of Clarksville, TN Kristen June Nelson of Henderson 2 Sisters: Kathy Rose of Bowling Green, KY Cindy Rose of Mt. Sterling, KY 1 Brother: Tom Nelson of Syracuse, New York 2 Grandchildren: Lilianna and Evangeline Memorial services will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Pastor James Stanley will officiate. Visitation will be Noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
