**Obituary for Dannie Ray Timmons**
Dannie Ray Timmons, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was born on January 28, 1940, in Webster County, Kentucky. He passed away on January 15, 2026.
Dannie enjoyed a fulfilling career as a heavy equipment operator in the coal industry, where he proudly worked at numerous mines across Western Kentucky. As a retired UMWA coal miner, he was well-respected for his hard work and dedication. He was an active member of the Onton United Methodist Church, where he forged many lifelong friendships. An avid fan of the University of Kentucky, Dannie loved to cheer for his team with passion.
Dannie is survived by his loving wife, Marylin Timmons, his daughters Tamara Sharber (Dwight), Sandy Stanley (Dennis), Dana Barnett (Larry), and son Monty Timmons (Martha). He also leaves behind his sister Karen Brooks, sister Janet Watson, and brother Bobby Timmons. Dannie was a proud grandfather to Michael Stanley, Steven Sisk, Christopher Sisk, Amanda Timmons, Taryn Timmons, Matthew Sharber, and Jessica Wenner, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place on January 19, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel from 11:00 AM until service time. The family has requested that everyone wear their UK gear for the services. Burial will follow in Slaughters Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Brooks, Roger Brooks, Michael Stanley, Matthew Sharber, Derrick Watson and Scott Watson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Madeline Stanley and Connor Donahoo.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contibutions to Gideon's International.
