Danny Lee “Sop” Allen of Beals, KY passed away 7:55 AM Sunday July 22, 2012 at Lucy Smith King Care Center. He was born December 15, 1951 in Henderson County to James O. and Thelma (Purcell) Allen. He was a hard worker and heavy equipment operator for the Operating Engineers Local 181 for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Dennis K. Allen. He is survived by two daughters: Stephanie Allen of Beals, KY Kristie Spalding of Petersburg, IN One brother: James “Jimboy” Allen of Reed, KY Three grandchildren Several nieces and nephews Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday July 25, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Raymond Meredith will officiate. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Dillon Spalding, Pro Allen, Jip Murch, Pee Wee Beasly, Will Robinson and Mike Francis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dalton Meredith and Kaleb Lawless. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Reed, KY. Memorial contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
