Darrel Glen Skaggs

Darrel Glen Skaggs, of Spottsville, KY, passed away on April 28, 2024, at the age of 63, under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice and surrounded by his family.

He was born on April 4, 1961, in Henderson, KY, to Russell “Tuffy” and Wanda Skaggs.

Darrel worked as a forklift driver for RC Cola. He loved the outdoors and found joy in hunting arrowheads, casting his line for fish, and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell “Tuffy” Skaggs and his brother, Monty Skaggs.

Darrel is survived by his two sons, Dillon Skaggs and Chris Skaggs (Samantha); mother, Wanda Skaggs, who undoubtedly held a special place in his heart, three sisters, Marsha Williams, Dana Stephens, and Tracy Shew (Richard); four grandchildren, Graysen, Paisley, Ayden and Braxten. Additionally, Darrel is survived by several nieces and nephews, who will carry memories of their uncle in their hearts forever.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, May 2 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 1, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Thursday, May 2, from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Bro. David Simpson will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Micha Williams, Ben Williams, Brian Ligon, Greg LaRue, Kenny Luttrell and Barney Pugh.
