Darrell Ray Dowdy

Darrell Ray Dowdy, 59 of Henderson, KY passed away Saturday July 6, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Morganfield, KY on September 29, 1953. He had worked at Gibbs Die Casting. Darrell was an avid UK fan, loved to fish and hunt, enjoyed woodburning, comic book conventions, jigsaw puzzles and just truly loved life. He also had the longest beard in the tri-state. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Magdalene (Brown) Byrne. Darrell is survived by his father; Bobby Byrne of Henderson, Daughters; Crystal (Crissy) Vandiver and her husband Rick of Henderson, KY Stacy Stewart of Henderson, KY Brother; Earl Byrne and companion Vickie Sutton of Henderson, KY Sister; Robbin Pippin and husband Jerry of Henderson, KY 2 grandchildren; Riley and Camryn Nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts Special thanks to his caregiver Margery Pohl.
