David Bishop, 81, of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.
David was born in Henderson to the late Alfred "A.G." Bishop and Margarette (Blanford) Bishop. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, carrying that same sense of dedication and hard work throughout his life.
David was the owner and operator of Glenn's Plumbing, where he took pride in his work and the relationships he built over the years. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple things-searching for arrowheads, treasure hunting, and spending time down at his campsite in the Geneva bottoms, a place he truly loved.
He will be remembered for his independent spirit, his love of the outdoors, and the time he spent with those closest to him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his spouse, Sandy Bishop; his son, David Bishop; his daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Billy Kemble; his stepdaughter and her husband, Cynthia and Earl Henshaw; his stepson, George Thompson; and his brother, Larry Bishop.
He is survived by his siblings, Garry Bishop, Judy Bishop, Janie Gibbs, and Donald Bishop; as well as numerous grandchildren, including his granddaughter, Laura "Squirt" Kemble, along with many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be scheduled at a later date.
