David Alvin Cardwell

David Alvin Cardwell, age 65, of Henderson, KY, passed away on August 6, 2024, at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville, IN. Born on June 25, 1959, in Henderson, KY, David was the beloved son of the late Alvin Cardwell and Sharon Taylor.

David was a devout member of the Pentecostal faith, finding great solace and strength in his love for the Lord. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through his many roles as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. A family man at heart, David cherished the time spent with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren.

David had a passion for travel, with a particular fondness for the beach. The sound of the waves and the feel of the sand brought him great peace and happiness. He also enjoyed the excitement of watching UK basketball, always cheering on his favorite team with enthusiasm.

David's warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love and devotion to family will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Lee Cardwell; brother, Steve R. Cardwell and a sister, Tonya Sue Cardwell.

He is survived by his four children, Kristina Gibson (Jon), Aaron David Cardwell (Kim), Adam Lee Cardwell (Mekaila) and Hayley Lindsey (Seth); four siblings, Rory “Bubba” Cardwell, Dennis Cardwell, Rodney Cardwell and Angie Jackson (Tim); 11 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 6:00 PM, Friday, August 9, 2024, at Dayspring Church, 3001 Hwy. 60E, Henderson, KY 42420 with Bro. Greg Lindsey officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, 5:00 PM until service time at the church.
