David Allen Chaney, Sr.

David Allen Chaney, 82, of Reed passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Deaconess Gateway.

He was born in Reed, Kentucky on March 14, 1940 to the late Otto Allen and Agatha (Bugg) Chaney.

David was a member of Reed Community Church. He was the Owner of Perfection Tool Company in Reed, a lifelong farmer and a school bus driver for the Henderson County School System. David was an avid hunter that loved his 15+ beagles and a lab. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, hunting and poker buddies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Tim Chaney and two brothers John and Ed Chaney.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years Juanita; one son David Chaney (Lori); three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; two sisters Ann Branson (John) and Stella Knight (Jim).

Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Father Fid officiating.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
