David Lee Skaggs Jr.

David Lee Skaggs Jr., 40, was born on January 14, 1983 and departed this world on December 24, 2023.

David worked at Gibbs Die Casting in Remelt. He loved fishing, four wheeler riding, riding in the Alzey bottoms, and mud bogging.

David was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Fredrick Eugene Holaday Sr. and Kenneth Wayne Skaggs; grandmother, Virginia Skaggs; and aunt, Etoy Blanford.

He leaves behind his only son, Jonathan Tyler Lee Skaggs (Mallory Yates); granddaughter, Maggie Mae Skaggs; mother, Amy Long and stepfather, John Long; father, David Lee Skaggs Sr. and stepmother, Rhonda Murch; brother, Jason Skaggs (Baylee Axelson); best friend and brother, David Rideout aka Roach; grandmother, Patty Holaday; dog and faithful companion, Anna; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 29 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.

Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, December 28 from 3-7 p.m. and on Friday, December 29 from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Skaggs, Jace Bradley Skaggs, Mikey Holaday, David Rideout, Larry Martin, and Sam Skaggs.
