David Franklin Turley, 85 of Slaughters, KY passed away on April 6, 2016 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. He was born in Hopkins County to the late Monroe and Crystal Sandefur Turley on December 27, 1930. He attended Slaughters Christian Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #347 in Slaughters. He was retired from Able Energy Company and was a United States Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Turley and a daughter, Joy Fuller. He is survived by: His wife of more than 60 years, Lois Turley of Slaughters, KY Grandsons: Chris Rakestraw of Slaughters, KY David (Lisa) Rakestraw of Slaughters, KY Several great-grandchilren Several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Saturday, April 9th at 1:00 pm at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Brother Bill Adcock will officiate. Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, April 8th from 4-8 pm at the funeral home and on Saturday from 11:00 am until service time. Pallbearers will be Mike Turley, Dwight Major, Tim Wyatt, Barry Pettus, Jerry Dunville, and Wendell Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gene Crowley, Hoyt Blue, Dick Blue, and Hugh David Blue.
