Dean Morris, 96, of Henderson, Kentucky passed away on Monday March 23, 2026 at Redbanks Nursing Home under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice. She was born in Short Creek, Kentucky on April 4, 1929. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of Hyland Baptist Church and Gospel Light. In her early years, she worked in retail, but most of her married life she was a homemaker. She was Nana to many and loved by her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Hayward P. Morris, her parents Elbert and Ethel Isbell and 8 siblings.
Dean is survived by her daughter, Judy (Larry) Hall and son Richard Morris: Grandchildren Carrie (Daniel) Smith, Amy (Jason) Bunch, Jesse (Jordan) Morris, and Shaylee (Chris) Reising; Great-grandchildren, Ellie Smith and fiance Brennen Majors, Emma Bunch, Lucas Bunch, Wesley Bunch, Samuel Bunch, Micah Bunch, Clyde Morris, and Leighton Reising.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday March 25, 2026 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel, with Jeff Coursey will officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service begins.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the nursing staff at Redbanks Nursing Home Hospice Unit.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Smith, Jason Bunch, Jesse Morris, Lucas Bunch, Wesley Bunch, Samuel Bunch, Micah Bunch, and Chris Reising.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Anthony's Hospice at 2410 S. Green St. Henderson, KY 42420.
