Dennis Dewayne Knight

Dennis Knight, 58, went to be with his wife Mary Knight Sunday October 16, 2011 at 1:20 AM. He passed away at OMHS due to complications from a heart attack. Dennis was born in Newburgh, Indiana to Stella and John R. Knight. He worked for Industrial Contractors for over 25 years as a sheet metal worker. He was a union steward for Local 20. He enjoyed watching T.V., listening to Motown, but most importantly being with his children and grandchildren. He was a lifelong Democrat and supported many charitable organizations. He saved the lives of many people as an organ donor. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Knight. He is survived by his father John R. Knight of Evansville, IN 3 Sons: Brent Knight and wife Sheena of Owensboro, KY Dirk Knight of Evansville, IN Kirk Knight of Evansville, IN Maegan Hagan and husband Trenton of Owensboro, KY 1 Brother Gerald Knight of Evansville, IN 1 Sister Patricia Rice of North Carolina 5 Grandchildren: Brayden Knight and Bryce Basham of Owensboro, KY Justin Knight of Evansville, IN Madison Knight and Abbigale Knight both of Cynthiana, IN A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday October 20, 2011 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Pastor Amy MacDonell will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dennis Knight Foundation.
