Dennis Ross

It is with heavy hearts the family of Denny Ross, 78, share his passing on September 6, 2026. He had been in the care of his loving wife, Janis, and stepson Joel Saylor.

He is survived also by one grandson, Jake Saylor, and two brothers, Richard "Jody" Ross of Inlay City, MI, and Ronald "Casey" Ross of Medford, Oregon.

He was held in the arms of his niece, Jordan Wagner, and his wife and will be held in the hearts of so many other nieces and nephews.

Denny was the oldest of the seven children of Richard and Marian Ross, born on October 22, 1947, in South Bend, Indiana. He spent most of his grade school years in the Roseland area, later moving to New Carlisle, Indiana, where he graduated from high school.

Denny served in the U.S. Army in the 59th Aviation Company, stationed in Uijongbu, Korea, as an aircraft mechanic.

He was interested in all things cars and anything mechanical. He enjoyed sharing his stories and special sayings and worn-out phrases.

Denny is preceded in death by his two sisters, Kathy Brown and Barbara Fredricks; two brothers, David and Dale Ross; and both parents.

No services will be held per his request. Interment will be in St. Anne's Cemetery, Monterey, Indiana, privately at a later date.
