Derek Martin

Michael Derek Martin, 56, of Sebree, passed away on January 4, 2025, at his home.

Derek was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to George Michael “Mike” Martin and Judith “Judy” (Frailley) Martin. He was a graduate of Bremen High School in Bremen, Kentucky, and proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran.

Derek had a passion for life and embraced it through his many hobbies. He loved to cook and read, and he was an amateur musician who found joy in playing the guitar. He was also a devoted dog lover and cherished the companionship of his beloved pet.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Karen (Majors) Martin; his children, Kristie Williamson and Dustin Williamson; his siblings, Alysia Steele (Scott) and Bill Martin (Josh); and his parents, Mike and Judy Martin.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Sebree. Burial will follow at Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Derek will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness, creativity, and love for his family and friends will forever be remembered.
