Desiree Gaye Herron

Desiree Gaye Herron-Langley of Las Vegas, NV and Chattanooga, TN, formerly from Henderson, KY, passed away on September the 8th of 2026. She was born at Hamilton Air Force Base in San Rafael , CA on September 5th, 1957 to her parents Clarence Ray Herron and Vivian Jean Parker Herron. Preceded in death on July 18, 2011 by her Mother, Desiree is survived by her adored and deeply loved husband of twenty-four years, Chris Alan Langley. The couple were united in marriage at Mount Charleston, NV in the presence of God and and family on July 7, 2002. He was a constant source of strength, comfort, and devotion.

She is also survived by her beloved son, Mark Anthony Montalbano Jr. of Las Vegas and his father Mark Montalbano Sr. of New Orleans who remained a spiritual source of knowledge throughout the years. Desiree’s daughter, Azurdee Desiree Castello-Smuts, husband John, and the Grandchildren survive her in Pretoria, South Africa. Desiree’s children were the “Best part of my life and the treasures of my heart, if I did nothing else worthy of mention, I know God Blessed me abundantly with my Children.” Desiree also has two step-children, Korey and Kappy Langley, and a step-granddaughter.

Desiree also leaves behind her siblings, Elmer Jay Herron of Henderson, Timothy Ray Herron of Hillsboro, Missouri and her sister, Eustacia (Stacy) Clarice Carnley. One sister preceded her in death, Jessica Rae Ann Herron, entered into rest on April 14, 1981. “There will be many more I’m longing to see when I pass through the gates of the heavenly!” “How happy that day will be when I’m in the arms of my family!”
