It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dixie Hutchcraft, beloved mother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on September 10, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on December 31, 1945, in McLeansboro, Illinois, Dixie was a cherished member of the Beals Pentecostal family and a true embodiment of love and compassion.
Dixie dedicated her life to her family, taking great joy in the laughter and love of her daughters, Cindy Ambrous (Eric) and Kristy Dempsey (Rick) , as well as her adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was a sanctuary where memories were made, laughter echoed, and love was tangible.
An active community member, Dixie enjoyed spending her time out and about, visiting friends, and connecting with her church family. She found great comfort in her faith and was a regular attendee of her beloved church services.
Dixie's warmth, humor, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters Cindy and Kristy, and her brother, Larry Pritchett (Jane).
A Funeral Service will be held in her honor at Tomblinson Funeral Home on September 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM, where Rev. Barry Skaggs will officiate. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the same day.
Following the service, Dixie will be laid to rest at Baskett Cemetery.
In this time of sorrow, may we come together to celebrate the beautiful life of Dixie Hutchcraft, cherishing the memories we hold dear and finding comfort in the love she so freely gave.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents Dean Pritchett and Geraldine and her beloved husband Stanley Hutchcraft.
